Sonata for Tenor Horn and Piano

$30.00

Written for the composer’s first year Undergraduate recital, Sonata for Tenor Horn follows the likes of John Golland’s Sonata and other more-serious works for the instrument. Each movement focuses on a different aspect of the tenor horn from lyrical playing in the middle movement, lip flexibility and articulation in the opening fanfare and finger dexterity and intervals for the third movement.

The middle movement Ballad has been played around the world and has had arrangements created for string quartet and vibraphone, brass band as well as its original piano accompaniment form.
